Miniature Carousel Builders Corner
This month's example of beautiful carousel art was constructed by Crawford Peters of Pennsylvania, a charter member of Miniature Carousels Builders, Inc. This carousel was displayed in the MCB Exhibit at the Valley Mall, Hagerstown, MD in 2002.
This is the sixth carousel which was built by Crawford in 1999 and was under construction for seven months. He has built a total of seven carousels, and converted three of them from Track type to Overhead Cranks. Of the seven constructed carousels, one was built for a grandson, and one for Crawford's mother-in-law. One for a granddaughter is in the planning stage.
Crawford and his wife, Faye, mold, fire and paint their own animals and are a source for other members. One carousel was designed by Faye and she collects the items used for decorations
THE DETAILS:
