Miniature Carousel Builders Corner
This month's carousel art features the work of Linda Wilkinson, Pennsylvania, a member of the Miniature Carousel Builders (MCB). Her full time job is in the Parts Department of a GM dealership.

She became interested in this hobby while attending an MCB exhibit at a nearby mall in 1995. Linda does not build carousels but has focused her interest on painting various sizes of ceramic, and fiberglass carousel animals. The smaller animals are mounted on wood or ceramic bases, and the larger fiberglass horses are mounted on a pole. She uses a 7-step procedure to hand paint each menagerie animal which takes approximately one week for each animal.

Linda has exhibited her carousel animals at MCB exhibits at the Chambersburg Mall, Hershey Amusement Park, Biglerville Apple Museum, Pen Mar Park and the Gettysburg Craft Show.

The finished animals are for sale and anyone interested can contact her at 717-677-7458 Monday through Friday after 6 PM and week-ends, or e-mail: flyinghorse@superpa.net.
