Miniature Carousel Builders Corner
This month's beautiful example of carousel art was constructed by Harold
Vandemark, Defiance, Ohio. The Vandemarks are members of the Miniature
Carousel Builders organization and attend many of the MCB exhibits.
Their carousel was displayed in the MCB Exhibit at the Valley Mall,
Hagerstown, MD in June 2002. These photos were taken at that time.
Harold got the idea for building a carousel in 1943 while he was
stationed at the Navel Repair Station in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Forty-seven years later he finally got around to constructing one in
1990 with an estimated building time of 18 months.
