Miniature Carousel Builders Corner
"Spirit of America" is the theme of the featured tabletop carousel this month, constructed by Palmer Burke, Pennsylvania, a member of the Miniature Carousel Builders organization. According to Palmer, he was inspired by the events of September 11, 2001 to construct a carousel to honor the "Spirit of America." Built in 2002, it is the third of four carousels that he has constructed in the past 4 years. His wife, Ruth Ann, paints the animals.
Palmer has built replicas of his original designed model carousels and these are available for purchase by contacting him at 717-757-1960, and by e-mail oscarshome@aol.com.
