The Museum specializes in group and school tours of the Museum. You are invited to bring your group to the Carousel Museum for a hands-on experience that is unique, educational and entertaining. Or, take a field trip to the Bushnell Park Carousel and enjoy our Spin and Learn "edutaining" program. A special, age appropriate tour of the Museum will be provided along with a carousel craft and rides on the tots carousel. Outreach
We would like to reach out and bring a small part of the carousel to your class or group. Our staff will present a one-hour program with examples of carousel carving and slides. The Carousel Museum and the Bushnell Park Carousel are available to rent for special functions any day during non-public hours. At either location, your special event will be showcased against a background of prancing ponies and fiery steeds.
Special affairs enjoyed include weddings, meetings, dinners, fundraisers, cocktail receptions, birthday parties, and art auctions. We can accommodate events with up to 250 people. Birthday Parties
The New England Carousel Museum is a great place for an enjoyable and educational birthday party for people of all ages. Play games, have fun and learn about the history of the carousel. Parties at the Bushnell Park Carousel provide unlimited free rides for you and your guests for two hours.
Birthday parties may be held any day of the week, at any time during public hours. You provide the cake and refreshments; we provide age-appropriate activities and a magical setting. This overnight program allows your youth group to sleep over in the Museum. There is a wonderful educational menu for you to select the evening program. There is a minimum of 50 children. We have a composite night each month where we put your smaller group together with other smaller groups to make up the minimum number. Ask us about our special Stay and Play program. Our Museum artists provide a restoration component to the Museum for your carousel animals. From wood restoration to painting and finishing a piece, they bring the animal back to its original beauty. To receive a quote for the restoration of your piece, send photographs to the Museum, attention Restoration Department.
Full-size resin, reproduction horses and trim pieces are now on sale in our new showroom. Copies of original pieces are wonderful adornments for your home or office.
